We play Pickleball accompanied with laughter and some shenanigans. If you're unfamiliar with Pickleball, check out this video.
WHAT LEVEL DO YOU PLAY?
Newbies
We suggest you have fun learning with Carol at the Newport Rec Department, or Peter Tache in Bristol. They are not affiliated with Newport Huddlers, but we've gotten to know both of them and highly recommend their coaching styles.
Intermediate
Most Newport Huddlers are at this level.
Advanced
You might be playing alone 😉. No, seriously, there are a couple of groups on Nextdoor that coordinate other Pickleball uber-experienced or co-ed games. We highly recommend checking that out.
WHERE AND WHEN?
Weather permitting and seasonal considerations, we typically play Tuesdays and Fridays. However, the best place to stay in touch with our events is through the app. Download it and start chatting with us now.
WANT TO JOIN US?
Follow the steps to download TeamReach app to your smart device (iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet).
In the Group Code field enter NptPB.
Get going in the group.
Tap the Pickleball - Newport Huddlers group name
Use the icons at the top of the group to:
CHAT: Start a new conversation by using the Write Message field at the bottom.
CALENDAR EVENTS: tap the Calendar icon to see upcoming events. If there aren't any, check back.
PHOTOS: After events, everyone is welcome to upload photos to the app. Your Steering Committee members will try very hard to remember to do this too.
MEMBERS: View the names of those in this Wine Time group.
PRIVATE CHATTING: Box with a quill indicating you'll select the boxes of those you'd like to write a message to.
REPLYING TO AN EXISTING CONVERSATION:
Either tap the conversation message or the word "Comments" to the bottom right.
Type your reply in the bottom field.
